Having been spectacularly dull on a date a few weeks back I walked away safe in the knowledge that I wouldn’t be hearing from the guy again... and I didn’t...

Well not to ask me on another date... that is until the other night when I received a message from him. I’m not going to do it justice with my own words, so I will quote this um... gentleman... verbatim:

‘Hey, How’s things? Sorry I haven’t been in touch I started seeing someone soon after we met and this might come across as very forward but as you were so great to chat with, and hot ( I like that bit.. and it seemed innocent this far) I’d love you to join the two of us, for more than a cup of tea ;) as she’s keen in principle’

Now you can call me a prude... but I’m not accustomed to being asked that kind of question, especially by someone who didn’t even want a second date. My initial response was to laugh out loud... and then discuss the message with many people... including people in the office at work.

It seems that the old saying ‘two’s company, three’s a crowd’ isn’t true in his case...

In a move that is more than likely not my wisest I’ve allowed a friend to reply to him on my behalf asking what he had in mind...

I’ll keep you posted on his response... any advice on what else to say to him is welcome!
